 Sandra Hess is a frequent speaker at industry events nationally and internationally. Sandra is the Board President of Women for WineSense Napa Sonoma and has served as a steering committee member for the DTC Wine Symposium since 2013. Sandra speaks at industry events throughout the nation and most recently moderated a panel “DTC Wine Case Studies Revealed” at the DIRECT ShipCompliant Conference June 2016 and at the DTC Wine Symposium January 2016. Members of the Paso Robles Wine Alliance invited Sandra to present a workshop in April 2016 on “Customer Retention Best Practices”. Sandra presented a lecture at Merryvale Vineyards in St. Helena, CA on “DTC Wine Sales Best Practices” November 2015 and conducted a workshop on “DTC Wine E-Commerce and Retention Best Practices” for members of the Livermore Valley Winegrowers association in September 2015. Sandra moderated a panel on “Dos and Don’ts of DTC Wine Sales” at the Women of the Vine Symposium in Napa, CA March 2015.

DTC WINE WORKSHOPS GOES GLOBAL! Sandra was invited to speak at the International Wine Forum in Mendoza, Argentina on the topic of “Direct to Consumer Wine Sales and Brand Expansion Best Practices in October 2014. Sandra presented to an audience of 500 winery owners and managers, visited notable wineries throughout the region and met with members of the press during her visit.

Alf Nuciforo, Chairman of the Luxury Market Council San Francisco recognized Sandra for her contribution to the DTC E-Commerce Technology Panel at the DTC Done Right conference, Hall Wines, Saint Helena, CA February 2014, “Sandra, the scorecards are in and the verdict is unanimous. Your panel discussion was a huge hit. We’ve had rave reviews about the information you conveyed and the candor of your comments.” In May 2014 Sandra served on a panel at the ShipCompliant DIRECT conference in Napa, CA and presented DTC shipping statistics, wine consumer online buying trends and demographics to an audience of winery managers and owners from around the country. Sandra is a regular guest presenter on DTC wine sales and marketing fundamentals at Fresno State University wine business program and co-moderated the Wine Club Manager Workshop at Direct to Consumer Wine Symposium, January 2014.

DTC Wine Workshops launched the DTC Consultant Network in August 2014 and the network now includes 12 consultants serving wineries nationally. The DTC Consultant Network is a group of wine industry specialists supporting wineries of all sizes in the areas of direct to consumer wine sales strategy, training, e-Commerce support and data migration, online marketing, PR & Media outreach, leadership development, CRM and relationship selling strategies, wine club set up and services and conversion improvements.
